K20 Responsible Gaming — Play Safe, Enjoy Wisely

At k20, we believe that online entertainment should be enjoyed in a healthy and responsible way. This page provides guidance and important information to help you play responsibly in Malaysia.

Gaming is entertainment — not an escape from stress or a source of income. Take care of yourself and those you love.

K20's Commitment to Responsible Gaming

K20 is committed to providing a safe, fair, and enjoyable gaming environment for all users in Malaysia. We believe online gaming should be a form of entertainment enjoyed in a controlled manner — not an activity that disrupts your daily life, finances, or personal relationships.

As a responsible platform, k20 provides a range of tools and resources to help users stay in control of their gaming habits. We also actively encourage users to set personal limits, recognise the signs of risky behaviour, and seek help when needed.

Remember: gaming should bring you enjoyment, not anxiety. If you feel that gaming is starting to have a negative impact on your life, please use the available self-control tools or reach out to the k20 support team.

Recognise the Signs of Risky Behaviour

Being aware of changes in your gaming habits is the first step towards better self-control.

Chasing Losses

Feeling compelled to keep playing after a loss in hopes of winning back what you've lost. This is a serious warning sign and should be stopped immediately.

Losing Track of Time

Not realising how much time has been spent playing, or frequently playing longer than planned. Clear time limits need to be set and followed.

Spending Beyond Your Means

Using money set aside for daily essentials such as rent, food, or bills for gaming purposes. This is a serious sign that your financial limits need to be brought under control immediately.

Gaming-Related Emotional Stress

Feeling anxious, angry, or distressed when unable to play, or using gaming as a way to escape real-life problems.

Neglecting Responsibilities

Gaming begins to interfere with work, studies, relationships with family or friends, or other important daily activities. This is a sign that gaming has gone beyond the bounds of entertainment.

Hiding Your Gaming Habits

Concealing gaming activity from family members or close ones, or lying about the amount of time and money spent on gaming.

How to Set Time & Budget Limits for Gaming

One of the most effective ways to game responsibly is to set clear limits before you start. k20 encourages every user to practise the following steps:

  • Time limit: Decide how long you'll play before starting a session. Use a timer or alarm on your phone as a reminder
  • Daily or weekly deposit limit: Set a maximum deposit amount in MYR (RM) that you're comfortable spending on entertainment, and stick to that limit without exception
  • Loss limit: Set a maximum amount you are comfortable losing in a single session. Once this limit is reached, stop the session immediately.
  • Never borrow money to play: Only use disposable income that isn't needed for essential expenses

Remember that no strategy or system can guarantee a win. Gaming is entertainment and outcomes are random.

Minor Protection

K20 strictly prohibits anyone under the age of 18 from using this platform. Protecting minors is our priority, and we take this responsibility seriously.

The steps we take to protect minors include:

  • Age verification during new account registration
  • Identity document requests for further verification when required
  • Immediate closure of accounts suspected to belong to underage individuals

To parents and guardians: we encourage you to use parental control software on shared devices, keep your account password secure, and have open conversations with your children about the risks of gambling.

Maintain Life Balance & Seek Help When Needed

Maintaining Balance in Everyday Life

Healthy gaming means it remains a small part of your broader life — not the centre of it. Here are some tips to help you maintain a healthy balance:

  • Spend quality time with family and friends outside of gaming
  • Keep up with other hobbies and interests that bring you satisfaction
  • Ensure basic needs such as adequate sleep, proper nutrition, and exercise remain a priority
  • Avoid playing when you're feeling stressed, sad, or under the influence of alcohol
  • Review your gaming habits regularly and be honest with yourself

Professional Help Resources

If you or someone you know needs help with a gambling problem, don't hesitate to seek professional support. Reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

You can also reach the k20 support team via email at support@k20.im for more information on the self-exclusion options available, or visit the FAQ us for answers to common questions.

Ask Yourself These Questions

  • Am I playing for fun, or to escape from my problems?
  • Am I playing with money that should be used for other necessities?
  • Have the people I care about ever raised concerns about my gaming habits?
  • Do I find it difficult to stop even when I want to?

If the answer to any of the questions above is "yes", please consider reaching out to k20 support or seeking professional help.
